Ultrasounds are a great way to show us what's going with soft tissues without resorting to surgery. Dr. Sterle earned her Certificate in Small Animal Ultrasound from the University of Illinois after completing a year and a half of study in their Executive Veterinary Program in Small Animal Ultrasound.
From abdominal and thoracic masses to bladder stones and foreign bodies, ultrasound is the most cost efficient way to locate abnormalities so proper treatment plans can be put in place to get you pet back to their prime.
X rays are an excellent way to visualize abnormalities in the skeletal system.
Here at Pet Health Center, we have in house Digital Radiology. What this means is, when we take the x rays, we have immediate results. There is no wait time for developing or waiting for a doctor to read them in order to get a diagnosis. As soon as the x ray is taken, it is immediately on our screen for Dr. Sterle to review. This way we can get your pet back on their feet as soon as possible!
An echocardiogram is an ultrasound of the heart for any abnormalities.
Although we are a GP hospital, with Dr. Sterle's proficiency in ultrasound, this is a service we are able to offer at a price significantly lower than that of a cardiologist. If your pet has a murmur, or your vet recommends an echocardiogram, give us a call. We usually have same or next day appointments available, so don't feel like you have to wait to get a diagnosis. Our goal is the same is yours. Get a diagnosis and treatment plan, so your pet can get back to 100%!
