Whether they are young or old, what is the best bang for your buck at a vet clinic?  The general wellness exam!  Here at Pet Health Center, $45 gets you an appointment where Dr. Sterle will perform a full physical exam on your pet.  She starts at the head checking for anything abnormal with eyes, ears, teeth, etc before working her way back.  She listens to heart and lung sounds, palpates the abdomen for anything abnormal, and finally makes it back all the way to the back legs where she checks knees and hips for any abnormalities.

Flea, Tick, and Heartworm Prevention

Make sure your pet stays pest-free with our flea and tick preventatives. Has your dog or cat already been dealing with the problem? We can take care of that, too.

Heartworm Testing

Did you know, even if you keep your pet on Heartworm Preventative for their entire lives, they can STILL get heartworms?  For this reason, the American Heartworm Society recommends testing your pet every year, even if they haven't missed a single dose.

Heartworms have become an increasing concern in the past decade.  Heartworms can lead to a whole list of issues including but not limited to coughing, shortness of breath, enlarged heart, pulmonary embolism, congestive heart failure, and death. 

Here at Pet Health Center, we strongly recommend annual testing to ensure your pet is still heartworm negative.  All it takes is three drops of blood, and we can have results back in fifteen minutes!
